    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Comes to Life in Lancaster

LANCASTER–The Colonel Town Players are going Technicolor® with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s amazing story of Joseph, his jealous brothers, and one very colorful coat. The Colonel Town Players’ production features an all-youth cast with a talented live band. This musical adventure follows the Biblical story of Joseph, the favorite son blessed with prophetic dreams, on his journey to Egypt after being sold into slavery by his brothers. Audiences will enjoy being taken on a journey through various musical styles, from country-western to calypso and bubble-gum pop to rock 'n' roll. This timeless tale is a family favorite and is sure to leave folks dancing in their seats.

Starring Isaiah Morris as Joseph, Chloe Gagnon as the Narrator, and Maddox Shosa as Pharaoh; this beloved musical is sure to have you hitting repeat after taking in a show. Isabelle Antonucci, Brooke Lavoie, and Baylee Fuentes take their turn in the spotlight as the featured brothers, while Amadeus Morris delights as both Jacob and Potiphar. A supporting cast of 26 additional actors and actresses from across the North Country round out this talented all-youth cast.

“We have had an amazing time putting this one together,” said co-director Angie Lavoie. “When we started doing youth shows back in 2021 I don’t think we would have imagined we could have pulled off something quite this big in just four years time.” Lavoie said the Colonel Town Players

have seen their youth program grow exponentially and this cast proves that live theater is alive and well in the North Country.

“It has been a huge undertaking and we are ready for the community to see our vision come to life," said co-director Stephanie Cameron, who along with Lavoie started the Colonel Town Players youth branch four years ago. She said that Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat marks the group’s first attempt at a full length musical that features challenging choreography and a live band. “There truly is something magical about bringing a group of children together to create a story that can be shared by our community,” she said.

Single ticket prices start at $10 for children, $15 for seniors, and $20 for general admission. A select number of seats can be reserved in advance online ahead of the show dates while same day tickets are available at the door for the balcony. The show takes place one weekend only–October 18-20–with performances at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday night as well as matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 1 pm.

“This truly is a family friendly show and a great way to spend the weekend,” said Meghan Hakey, who has lent many hours to her role as stage manager for the production. “I hope the community comes out to support these talented kids in a huge way.”

Following Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat plays live at the Lancaster Town Hall on October 18, 19, and 20. For more information or to purchase tickets visit the Colonel Town Players on Facebook or stop by their online ticketing store at
